Audrey and Deirdre are a truly special pair of sisters who share a deep, lifelong bond. These beautiful girls were home-bred and have lived happily with their parents, in a loving home. Due to a change in their family’s circumstances, Audrey and Deirdre are now looking for a new forever home where they can stay together and continue to thrive.

Deirdre

Audrey is a striking black and tan long-haired miniature dachshund, while Deirdre is a gorgeous cream girl with a gentle soul. Both are playful, affectionate, and full of character. Their favourite pastime is zooming around the garden together or, on rainy days, turning the house into their personal racetrack! When playtime is over, they love nothing more than curling up on your lap for cuddles and a snooze in front of the TV.

Audrey and Deirdre are loving and loyal to those they know. Audrey tends to be the more confident of the two, while Deirdre can be a little reserved with strangers and may give a warning grumble if she feels overwhelmed but neither dog has ever shown aggression or attempted to bite.

They can be  left for short periods occasionally, up to 4 hours and sleep together in their comfy bed in the kitchen at night. While they are not crate trained, they are clean in the house though they may have the occasional accident if it’s raining or they get overexcited. They are happy to travel quietly in the car.

They are very comfortable with people they know and adore fuss and attention. They haven’t had much experience with other dogs outside their immediate pack, so slow and careful introductions would be needed if they are to meet other dogs in the future. They are not suited to living with cats, as they will chase them from the garden with great enthusiasm!

Audrey and Deirdre are truly inseparable and must be rehomed together. They will bring so much warmth, love, and laughter to the right home.

Requirements in a home:

• Calm, loving home with a secure garden where they can safely play and explore together. 
• Someone who is around for most of the day
• Children age 10+ who can respect their space and help them settle. 
• They would thrive in a quieter environment where they can build their confidence and continue to be the joyful, loving pair they are.
