Monty and Coco are a pair of adorable senior miniature dachshunds who are deeply bonded and ready to find their forever home together. With their gentle hearts and loving natures, they’re hoping to spend their golden years in a calm, cosy home where they can enjoy cuddles, comfort, and all the love they deserve.

Monty: 

• 13 years old
• Male, Miniature dachshund
• Black + Tan, smooth coat
• Neutered

Coco: 

• 9 years old
• Female, Miniature dachshund
• Chocolate & tan, smooth coat
• Not Neutered

Coco, the more confident of the two, is affectionate and full of charm. She loves attention, enjoys a good fuss, and quickly makes friends with everyone she meets. Monty, her loyal companion, is a little more reserved – a sensitive soul who takes his time to warm up. Once he feels safe, he shows his affectionate, gentle side and forms a wonderful bond with his people.

Both dogs are crate-trained and sleep soundly together at night. They’re happy to be left for short periods during the day, making them perfect for someone who’s home most of the time but might need to step out occasionally.

Having both previously experienced IVDD flare-ups, Monty and Coco have thankfully made full recoveries and continue to enjoy life comfortably. They simply need a calm home environment, where their mobility can be supported with care and understanding.

True to their dachshund roots, they can be a little vocal on walks, especially when they spot something exciting (or suspicious!) but they love a gentle stroll and plenty of sofa snuggles afterward.

Because of Monty’s sensitive nature, we’re looking for a peaceful, dog-free home with no young children, just a loving family ready to give this devoted pair the quiet, happy retirement they so deserve.

Requirements in a home:

A loving, calm environment with someone who can give them time and attention

•   No other dogs
•   Adults only or older, calm children (12+)
•   No cats
•   A home experienced with or understanding of dachshunds and IVDD would be ideal
