Nala and Daphne are a lovely mother-and-daughter duo, deeply bonded and devoted to one another, they are now searching for a new forever home. Their current owners work full time and have found it increasingly difficult to give the girls the time and attention they deserve. Neither Nala nor Daphne copes well being left alone, and they are becoming stressed and vocal in their current environment.
Nala, is a gentle soul who has had two litters, Daphne being from her first. She is now neutered and very closely bonded with her daughter; the two always sleep snuggled together under a blanket. Nala can be a little anxious around new people and will need a calm, patient home to help her build confidence. Once she’s comfortable, she loves relaxing beside you on the sofa.
Daphne, is loving, affectionate, and adores being cuddled. Like her mum, she is Kennel Club registered and has had a litter of puppies. She will need to be neutered once she’s settled into her new home, this will be funded by The Red Foundation. Daphne is happiest when she’s curled up on your lap and thrives on one-to-one attention.
Both girls are house trained and toilet happily in the garden. They are foodmotivated, enjoy their treats, and have experience living with children from babies through to older kids, making them a great fit for a family environment. However, they have not been around cats.
As with many dachshunds, Nala and Daphne can be vocal on walks and will benefit from continued training to build their confidence and manners in public spaces.
Requirements in a home:
- A calm, loving home where they are not left alone for long periods
- Continued support with socialisation and on-lead training
- Potentially a family with children who are respectful of the dogs
- Could live with one other dog following successful meetings
- No cats
