Pablo is a sweet and loving young dachshund who is looking for an experienced owner.

Sadly, Pablo had to go through every daxie’s worst nightmare – IVDD. However; after having successful surgery he is now back up and running, although Pablo’s gait has never quite fully recovered and this is something his new adoptive home will have to be mindful of. Pablo did have an incident where he bit his owner, this was just before his diagnosis of IVDD and is believed to be due to the pain he was in. However, due to this incident Pablo cannot live with children. 

Since Pablo’s recovery of IVDD, he is now fighting with the other dogs in his home, due to this Pablo cannot live in a home with other dogs. Pablo also has some resource guarding behaviour, this will have to continue being managed by his adopters. However; any behavioural support needed will be provided by us. 

Pablo’s owner describes him as a sweet boy who can be shy when meeting new people. He loves strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and a piece of toast as a treat. He also loves to play with toys and a ball. 

He is fine with other dogs out on walks and would be a loyal companion to any owner willing to take a chance on him.

Requirements in a home

• Cannot live with dogs, cats or children.
• Can be left for up to 4 hours.
