Rambo and Rolo are a devoted bonded pair of male mini dachshunds looking for a loving retirement home with a warm sofa and plenty of cuddles – sadly their owners are moving overseas due to family illness and we are urgently looking for a new forever home for them.

RAMBO

  • 10 years old
  • Male, mini, smooth, shaded red
  • Neutered

ROLO

  • 10 years old
  • Male, mini, smooth, black and tan
  • Neutered

Both Rambo and Rolo are easy-going, affectionate companions who thrive on human company.  They love attention and cuddles and enjoy a good potter around the garden before stretching out for a sunny snooze.  They are crate-trained and currently sleep together downstairs.  They are house-trained and can be left on their own for up to 4 hours on occasion.

They are typical dachshunds with a big bark for people they don’t know, although they settle quickly.  Outside the house, they will bark at dogs they don’t know but, again, will settle and carry on sniffing.  Both dogs are in good health.  Rambo is on daily medication for epilepsy, but this is well-controlled and he has not had an episode for more than a year.  The Red Foundation will support with medical costs associated with this.

Rambo and Rolo are a sweet-natured pair of older dachshunds who deserve a calm, caring home where they will provide loving companionship for their new family.

Requirements in a home for Rambo and Rolo:

  • A calm and loving home where someone is around much of the time
  • Could live with sensible children 12+
  • Could live with calm dogs, subject to successful meeting
  • No cats
