Rodney and Cassie are a deeply bonded pair looking for a loving home where they can stay together. Though very different in personality, they complement each other beautifully and share a calm, reassuring companionship.

Rodney is a friendly, affectionate boy who thrives on attention and enjoys being part of a busy, loving home. He adores cuddles, sofa snuggles, and spending time with his people, especially in the evenings. He loves his walks and still gets excited at the mention of “walkies,” enjoying exploring at a gentler pace. Rodney is excellent with other dachshunds and smaller dogs, playful yet gentle, and enjoys off-lead time in secure areas. On lead, he can be a little protective of his handler, particularly around larger dogs, but responds well to calm reassurance and positive training.

Rodney may need some support with separation anxiety, particularly when left by his main caregiver, but he responds extremely well to reward-based training. He is clever, food-motivated (carrots are his favourite!), fully house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoys travelling in the car.

Cassie is a quiet, elegant, and gentle soul who takes great comfort in Rodney’s presence. She becomes distressed when separated from him, making it essential that they remain together. Cassie is independent yet deeply loyal, enjoying calm companionship, sunbathing, and relaxing near a warm spot. She likes walks at her own pace and loves to sniff her surroundings but isn’t overly playful.

Cassie can be wary of strangers in the home and is unsettled by fast or unpredictable movements, meaning she is not suited to a home with young children. She dislikes fireworks and storms but finds comfort in cuddles and blankets. While not a fan of baths or vet visits, she tolerates both with gentle handling.

Together, Rodney and Cassie share a steady, comforting bond built on trust and mutual support. Rodney provides confidence and reassurance, while Cassie offers calm leadership. They are looking for a patient, understanding home that will cherish their relationship and offer them the stability and love they deserve.
