Beautiful Tilly is currently in emergency foster care in Worcester. She came to us frightened and scared of the world, but with lots of help and support from her wonderful fosterer she is beginning to trust people and enjoy life. She will soon be ready to move to her forever home.
We are looking for an extra special and patient forever home for Tilly. She has the potential to be a loving dog and playful companion, but will require time to settle in and trust her new family.
Tilly has never bitten, but we feel that she does have the potential to especially during the early days where she is likely to be frightened. We are looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors that will be able to allow her time to decompress and that is willing and able to continue her training to help Tilly become a confident young dog. Full support from The Red Foundation behaviour team will be given.
Tilly lived with 3 other dogs, including 2 dachshunds and they all got along well, although she is reactive to dogs outside the house. As she has never been without the company of other dogs, we would love to find a home with one older, calm resident dog (preferably a neutered male). Slow and gentle introductions would be required and again full support will be given on how to integrate her successfully.
Tilly is crate trained and sleeps in her crate overnight, she can also be left alone in her crate for up to 4 hours.
Requirements in a home:
- Adult only home with minimal visitors
- Calm rural or semi-rural home
- Willing and able to work through behaviour issues with support from The Red Foundation team
- Calm older resident dog/s (males must be neutered)
