Twiggy is described as a sweet and loving girl who enjoys spending time and playing with her humans.She is being rehomed as her owners feel that they are unable to meet her needs.

Twiggy currently lives with another dachshund however she has recently started some arguments with the other dog when toys or chews are involved. She may be able to live with another dachshund but slow and gentle introductions would be required.

Twiggy can be reactive to people and other dogs on walks, although the current owners have worked with a trainer and she has greatly improved when passing humans, she still struggles passing other dogs. She will also react to strangers inside the house, but will settle after a period of barking.

Twiggy has never lived with children, however we feel that she could be rehomed to a family with dog savvy children aged 12+ who know and understand when to give a dog space. She can be left alone for up to 4 hours with the other dachshund and is fine with this, but has become hyper attached to one of her humans if she is at home. At night, Twiggy currently sleeps on her owner’s bed.

Her owners feel that she will make an amazing companion and will absolutely thrive in a home that is able to offer her structure and continue with her training journey.

Requirements in a home

• Children 12+ who know when to give a dog space
• Calm rural or semi-rural home
• Potential to live with a calm resident dachshund (males must be neutered), or as an only dog
• Adoption fee for Twiggy is £450
